Hi, I am Caitie. I'm a little curmudgeonly and uncouth, but when my husband repeats the jokes I say under my breath everyone thinks he's funny. I'm trying to get over my Bachelor of Arts and write again. (I'm not a recent grad.) I have a toddler (please, send gin). I do my best to wander after Jesus, and, thankfully, He dances with my doubts very well. I'm an angsty soul with a healthy appetite for puns and lists and organizing all the things. I ran Hope Gathering (a women's conference in NYC) and make dinner happen most nights.

The 28th Amenment

Tired of Politics? Tired of D.C. and their hideous pinstriped suits, fake tans and blown-out hairdos? Me, too. The campaign for the 28th Amendment is a few years old, but it reads:

Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.

Like that? Me, too. It is not, however, the answer. Read the link and then check out these guys. They just might have some good suggestions.

John Piper on Race and the Church

John Piper can be a little feisty, tweet before he thinks (a la Rob Bell), and his theology isn’t perfect (but who’s is?). But, he isn’t John Piper for being a pastoral screw up. Here he talks about Race in the Church in the South, about growing up in segregated churches and being committed to interracial love for the rest of his life. A story worth knowing. Oh, and it isn’t theologically dense.
